Students Say

I have loved my time at Marties and can’t recommend it highly enough. I especially loved being in a friendly and respectful community that allowed me to study when I needed to (being a vet student), but also provided plenty of opportunities to relax and de-stress with friends.

Having cleaners regularly cleaning the cottages and vacuuming the bedrooms weekly, was 1 less thing I had to worry about, given it was the first time I had lived out of home.

Having our own reverse cycle air-conditioners in each room meant I could be comfortable on hot summer’s days or cold winter’s nights. We also have a washing machine and dryer in each cottage, saving us a trip outside to the external laundries that other accommodations use. We don’t need any more excuses to put off doing laundry!

The Fairfax centre is a great resource. A place to get away from your room, and enjoy time with friends. A place to play billiards, table tennis, darts, board games or computer games. A place to watch TV and have a movie night with lots of comfy couches and bean bags. A place to cook and share meals. Or even a place to study in the adjacent study commons with large tables, a library of textbooks, and a whiteboard for learning alone or in groups.

I have lived at Marties for two years and have thoroughly enjoyed it! It is in a very convenient location, close to uni facilities (within walking distance) and the community is welcoming and fun! I have had such great times with my cottage mates and revelled in the social events throughout the year (balls, sport, meals). A very supportive place to live during studies for which I am most grateful.

Over the past three years as I’ve learned to be independent and more of an adult (living) at Marties. (The College) support along the way really matters and means a lot!

Amazing place to start or continue your adventure at Uni, where you get plenty of opportunities to meet new people and gain great friendships. Wouldn’t live anywhere else on campus.

I am so glad that I chose to live at St Martin’s College. It has everything you could want in on campus accommodation. I love the opportunities that we get to socialise with everyone and the supportive family feel that the college has. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Parents Say

I guess like a lot of parents, two years ago I was very worried about my lovely precious vulnerable young daughter going out into the scary wide world so far away, but I can now see that staying with you at St Matins worked out well for her... Thank you for your part in that!
